I first would like to thank the University for allowing my child to attend this campus. However, we called prior to our arrival to your campus and spoke to housing and financial aid and was told that everything was in order. To discover that nothing was is order. We were charged the fee for a private room and when we arrived at the campus to find that is was not a private room and after driving 3 hours to your campus loaded down with items for a private room, to only be disappointed with a statement by your staff that we will adjust the bill and she may even be tripple assigned to a room. Was further informed that you over accepted housing and you were bumped for that reason and would not be given a private room. One would think that you know how many room you have and how many you could accomadate prior to assighning them. It would not have been a problem if I were expecting this and knew this information prior to our long drive. But to get there and say, "oh, by the way, to bad so sad this was a oversight on our part, but you live with it,and now our football players are even going to have to double and tripple up to help find placement for other students and we will remove the extra money charged to your account was not good enough for my child nor my heart break as I watched her cry over her great dissappointment. My child walked in with a smile and walked out with major tears over your oversight and this is not exceptable for me. I know this may not bother you for you have plenty of other students on campus to pay for your institution, but is has been a major disappointment for us. I try to support our culture and pride, but this was very unprofessional to over book and not be able to give what was promised. I teach and believe in your word is bond. It must not be the same for this institution. My your day be better than my child and mine was. Thanks, Heaven Thompkins.
